Once all the gamblers have either called or folded, an additional card is flipped on the turn. a further sequence of wagering happens at which point the river card is flipped. The players will have to make the strongest high and low five card hands based on the board and hole cards.
This is the point where some players often get baffled. Contrasted to Texas Hold ‘Em, in which the board can be everyone’s hand, in Omaha hi/low the player has to use precisely 3 cards from the board, and exactly two cards from their hand. The low hand is any 5 card hand (unpaired) with an 8 and below. The low hand wins half of the pot, as does the high hand. When there is no low hand available, the high hand wins the entire pot.
